Dunedin Classes
March 2026
Pelvic Stabilisation Class
with Ortho-Bionomy®
Dunedin, 21st-22nd March, 16h
The pelvis is the foundation of postural alignment.
The pelvis carries, balances and translates the weight of the spine when standing, sitting and walking, and modulates the gait patterns coming from the feet and legs. This balance is achieved through the flexibility of the lumbar spine, the stability of the 5th lumbar and sacrum connection, and a dynamic movement balance at the illio-sacral joint.
This class presents the Ortho-Bionomy approach to evaluating and working with the pelvis. Protocols for assessment and positional release techniques for re-establishing dynamic balance in the pelvis will be presented and practised.
Prerequisites: Phase 4, and a Phase 5 class is recommended.

Self-Care Class
with Ortho-Bionomy®
Dunedin, 25th March, 8h
Ortho-Bionomy, an osteopathic based bodywork, supports the fundamental concept of the body’s natural self corrective capacity. Comfortable positions release tension and remind the body of its natural ability to come to balance. The body is smart. It tends to organise around functionality. Releases and changes that support functionality and balance are recognised and integrated naturally. Through the practice of Self Care we empower ourselves in the process of self-healing and well-being.
Learn to adapt the effective positional release techniques of Ortho-Bionomy to relieve pain and tension in your own body. Self-Care addresses chronic aches and pains as well as ways to work with injuries. This class is appropriate for anyone wanting to explore comfort, and, also for health care practitioners looking for specific techniques to share with clients.
This class offers an opportunity to slow down, take some time to drop into the body, explore comfort, and rediscover healthy upright posture, ease of fluid movement, and the positions your body can use to relieve pain and tension.
Learn to:
✔ Relieve pain and tension with positional release.
✔ Create new patterns of pain-free movement.
✔ Increase flexibility and range of motion with isometric and
isotonic exercises

Invercargill Class
March 2026
Fundamentals - Phase 4
Class
Invercargill, 28th- 29th March 16h
Ortho-Bionomy is a positional release modality based in osteopathy that gently and effectively addresses muscle spasm, structural imbalances, joint pain, and restricted range of motion. The techniques are profound in simplicity and effectiveness. Due to the gentleness of the work, acute pain can be addressed as well as chronic conditions that require an ongoing process of rehabilitation.
It combines well with massage and other bodywork therapy to facilitate new patterns of structural alignment, balance, flexibility, and ease.
This foundational class covers the history and principles of Ortho-Bionomy, and extensive hands-on practice of specific positioning techniques developed to stimulate proprioceptive, self-correcting reflexes for all areas of the body. By working with the proprioceptors at the joints, we assist the body to bring a more balanced tone to the muscles surrounding the joints, facilitating the release of pain and tension patterns in seconds, and resulting in expanded range of motion, and a greater sense of well-being. This work is easy to learn, easy on your body, highly effective, and combines well with any system of health care.
